Usage Guidelines

Last updated: 2026-08-30

These guidelines keep Dicavo a safe, respectful place to practice. They apply to everything you upload, import, say into the app, or send to us.

Please do

  • Practice freely — mistakes, accents, and strange sentences are what the tool is for.
  • Import content you have the right to use (your textbook passages, public-domain texts, your own writing).
  • Report content or behavior that breaks these guidelines.

Please do not

  • Sexual content. No sexually explicit material in any form.
  • Harassment and hate. No attacks or slurs targeting people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or age.
  • Violence and danger. No graphic violence, threats, self-harm content, or instructions for dangerous or illegal activities.
  • Illegal content. Anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.
  • Spam and abuse. No advertising, scraping, automated abuse of the scoring system, or attempts to provoke harmful AI outputs.
  • Other people’s private data. Don’t upload personal information about others without their consent.

About AI feedback

Pronunciation scores, grammar suggestions, and learning advice in Dicavo are generated by automated systems. AI can be wrong. Scores may be inaccurate; suggestions may be odd; assessments may not reflect how a particular human listener would hear you.

Use feedback as a practice signal, not a verdict. We do not guarantee that assessments are correct, complete, or suitable for any official purpose — they are not a substitute for a qualified teacher or an official language examination.

Enforcement

Content that breaks these guidelines may be removed without notice. Accounts may receive warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans for serious or repeated violations. You can report problems via the in-app report function or by emailing support@dicavo.com.

We may update these guidelines as the product evolves; the current version is always on this page.
