Dicavo is a tool that helps you practice English pronunciation. You read sentences out loud, and it tells you, word by word, which ones came through clearly and which ones need work.

We built Dicavo because we wanted to make speaking practice something you can do every day by yourself, without a teacher or a language partner. While working on it, we read a lot about how people actually learn to speak English — some of it surprised us. This site is where we write about what we've learned.

The articles here aren't sales pitches. The tool is linked at the bottom of articles where it makes sense, and that's it. We think if the writing is useful, you'll check out the app if you want to.

What the app does

Dicavo focuses on the part most English apps skip: actually saying words out loud and being understood. You read a sentence, you get a score for each word (clear / almost there / needs work), and you practice the ones that didn't land. There's a free amount you can use every day — the idea is to make speaking practice something small and regular, not something big and scary.
